How it Works
The Fair Trade Process
- You commission a painting by contacting GAP (in Washington, DC or San Francisco)
- GAP contacts partner artist cooperative and gives a 50% cash advance when the order is placed to make sure the artist’s material costs are covered.
- Partner artist creates painting (usually takes a few weeks to a month).
- GAP pays the artist in full when he or she ships the painting back to the US.
- GAP receives painting, confirms commission completion, and sends it to you!
